SUMMER SCHOOL LODZ 2016« Back to the list of news
International Summer School started on the 4th of July 2016 with an opening ceremony held in the EC-1 Lodz. It was a welcome day for a group of nearly 100 students and professors. They arrived from countries like Ecuador, Brazil, Russia, Mexico, Italy, Turkey, Ukraine, Japan, Colombia, Cuba, Kazakhstan, Belarus. Professor Ryszard Piasecki, the director of the Summer School, presented the program under the title Social and Economic Heritage of Industrial Cities. After that, the presentation of city of Lodz followed so that everybody could get familiar with their current place of residence.
The Summer School lectures included a lot of information concerning the heritage of cities, green economy as well as the development of cities and ways to achieve success. The professors and students from all around the world shared and exchanged experiences on those matters, which resulted in international, global share of experience and knowledge that one day might hopefully be solution to our problems.
The interactive lectures included information about the EXPO LODZ 2022 Exhibition; students discussed about changes taking place in the shape of Lodz. Later students were divided into groups in which they came up with ideas useful for EXPO organizers.
TRIPS, ACTIVITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT
Students enjoyed not only lectures… but also they had a lot of time for sport activities and fun of all sorts. In the end all participants who left Lodz after two weeks of Summer School are experts on international cultures and traditions
