Summer School Łódź 2017
We are happy to inform that between 2.07. – 16.07. our Faculty organizes Summer School Łódź 2017 „The Regional Development, the Revitalization and Healthy Cities”. We will host guests from Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico, Italy, Japan, Russia, Turkey, Belarus and Poland. Further information is provided by Faculty Development Centre (Room C133).
This year Summer School is already over. Our students from the University of Sannio in Italy, Concetta and Luka, prepared a short review of what was happening at the Faculty during those first two weeks of July.
Today we got to know the results of work that Summer School 2015 Participants have done till now. And we need to admit that we are impressed! We had trusted in their engagement and we absolutely can`t be disappointed – every presentation had brought something to our mind in area of topics.Certificates were given to all participants of the Summer School
Tomorrow we are going for a study tour to the Bełchatów Region. In the programme (you can find it below) is Coal Mine and city center. There will be classes, workshops, but also travelling, sightseeing and some free time. The meeting Energy Production, Challenges of Sustainability and Regional Revelopment. Case of Belchatov was chaired by Mariusz Sokołowicz, PhD and Jakub Zasina.

The Opening Ceremony of Summer School 2015
The official International Summer School 2015 has just started today with the Opening Ceremony and lecture of professor Ryszard Piasecki, Director of Summer School, Mr Tomasz Morawski, Polish Consul General in Quito and professor Andrzej Majer. First time we could admire lovely building of Kindermann Palace and enjoy tasty lunch specially prepared for Summer School Participants.
Unfortunately it happened. Summer School 2014 is over and all of the participants already went home, richer in international friendships, knowledge that consist points of view of people from different continents, and thus, cultures. It were intensive two weeks, when all of our guests could fall in love not only with Łódź, but with Poland in general. Hope everyone will keep beautiful memories, sure that they had spent their time effectively. It was good to have you here!

Let`s start our Study Tour!
Today we had started our study tour. There is a lot to see. We will discuss issues included in the programme in places like: Silesian Region, Cracow, Auschwitz, Zakopane or Czorsztyn. We have plenty to see and plenty to learn and do, so it`s going to be a really busy weekend.
Addidional reason for celebration
There is one more thing that make us happy... Did you know that this year we celebrate the 10th anniversary? During the delicious barbeque at the Leisure Centre at Rogowska Street we even had a birthday cake! There is no way to celebrate such occasion without some sweets, singing and wonderful atmosphere. After hard work we deserve to have a little time-off and fun.

It happened! The official International Summer School 2014 has just started today with the Opening Ceremony and lecture of professor Zofia Wysokińska - Ph.D - Pro-Rector in Charge of International Affairs – and professor Andrzej Majer. Like last year we could admire lovely building of Biedermann Palace and enjoy tasty lunch specially prepared for Summer School Participants. That is a very good beginning for the intensive programme.
We are about to start!
One week left to the beginning of the Summer School 2014. This year the focus will be around the topic of `The Human Security in the Contemporary World`. All the participants are ready to come to Łódź and to spend intensive and full of activities two weeks in the central part of Poland and also have some educational trip to the south. We will ensure them amazing memories and opportunities to share opinions with people from different cultures with different points of view.

The Closing Ceremony
It happened - the end of the Intensive Programme officialy came. The word `intensive` is not only a part of the name of the idea of Summer School. It was a very intensive time, full of interesting lectures, workshops, hard work and also some fun. International students will leave Poland richer in knowledge about important for today's world issues. It is impressive how young people can be engaged in trying to underestand what is happening around them. It gives a bright light on the future!
Today student's gropus were presenting the results of their two weeks long working at workshops and concentration at the lectures. We could listen about the following topics:
Exciting weekend is behind us. We spend time gathering knowledge, sightseeing, touring, walking and working on the projects. We drove lots of kilometers, but it was worth it. Some spirit from those wonderful days you can get from pictures! Gallery is updated.

There will be classes, workshops, but also travelling, sightseeing and some free time. Yesterday was the official first day of the Intensive Programme. It was a day of saying hello. First chance was during the Opening Ceremony at the Biedermann Palace, and another one in the evening at the Welcome Party. Find a new folder in the Gallery!
`Documentation`of the Opening Ceremony
Today is the opening ceremony of the International Summer School 2013. It takes place at 10am in the Biedermann Palace with all of the participants: international and those from Poland. Professor Zofia Wysokińska Ph.D - Pro-Rector in Charge of International Affairs - will open two weeks of classes with introductory lecture. One of the guests that we expect is from Ministry of Foreign Affairs Republic of Poland - Undersecretary of State, Beata Stelmach.
